Mini Biography
Nadia Holmes a nineteen year old Barbadian girl lived her life from the age of six, displaying her love for the arts; dancing and singing. Her dancing initiated when she started dancing with the dance company “ The Barbados Dance Theatre “ (BDT) and as she grew older, she associated herself with other dance groups such as “ Dance Place “ which was associated with ‘ The Sandy Lane Gold Cup, ‘ and “ Dancing Africa “ which was linked to the Barbados Music Awards and Carifesta. Whereas, her singing commenced in her primary years, when she attended ‘The St.Pauls Primary School’ and she joined the school’s choir.
As Nadia aged her passion for the arts grew and diverse, going into modeling and drama. This came about when Nadia joined “ The Lodge School “ first model search and pageant, and rose to the top at the age of fourteen winning a pageant amongst her elder peers, allowing her to represent her school ‘ The Lodge School ‘ as an ambassador. She then did some modeling with the agency “New Horizon” and “SFC International.”
Continuing on her journey, because Nadia always knew she wanted to be on stage performing, she started attempting writing songs, and recording. Performing; dancing, singing and acting, anywhere she could, from karaoke bars, pageants, school concerts, crop-over events (e.g. cavalcade ), independence…etc.
And up until this day her dream is still to ignite a flame in people’s heart when she performs on stage.
